Problem. The article deals with the issue of formation university students’ translation skills. Such types as oral interpretation, written and abstract are considered in their difference. mechanisms described including perception analysis information, short-term storage memory, search for solutions, assessment correctness etc. considers mistakes process conveying meaning original text like distortions, inaccuracies or indistinctness well searching optimal version finding solution, options, paraphrasing a way to an possibility descriptive, tracing approximate translation. analyses such difficulties fake friends translator, polysemantic words, non-equivalent vocabulary ways students deal them. It also emphasizes increasing demand translators who have knowledge about international requirements modern scientific discourse our country is integrating European space one, which presupposes participation symposiums, conferences, writing articles foreign languages. Methodology. purpose specificity study determined use method description elements comparative comprehensive coverage issue. Results. Learning using authentic material no problem nowadays. showed cornerstones teaching process.
